Fantastic Dimitrov reaches the Australian Open semi-final

Grigor Dimitrov still looks very very sharp during this Australian Open edition.

The Bulgarian had absolutely no problems in dismissing David Goffin in straight sets (6-3 6-2 6-4). The result was never in doubt with Grigor winning a very early break in both the first and the second set.  In the third set, Goffin dropped his serve only in the 7th game (4-3) to then surrender to the Bulgarian.

I feel better and better. DIMITROV

“After the first set, I felt a little bit better. Then, I felt I was in control of the match after that… I feel like I have all the tools to go further, and my job isn’t over yet. I’m looking forward to my match on Friday. I think I’m prepared. I think I’m ready to go the distance.

I’m confident enough to say that I feel good physically, and overall on the court. Just going forward with the confidence that I have built up also from the previous tournament. Now with each match, I’ve been feeling better and better. It just all comes pretty natural right now.”

Next vs. Nadal

Grigor will play Rafael Nadal in the semifinal. The head to head is 7-1 for the Spaniard, but Grigor has won the last match in Shanghai.

Game on!
