Ana Ivanovic dismisses Genie Bouchard in straight sets in Singapore to take some chances to reach the semifinal.
The match was very smooth for Ana that was in full control form the very beginning. Ivanovic got an early 5-0 lead to wrap up the opener 6-1. The second set was a bit better for Genie that managed to lead 3-2, then… game over: Ana wins 4 consecutive games. The final result was 6-3 6-1. Match Stats

After this defeat, the second in a row, Genie commented “I’ve been asked a few times about it being my first time here. That never crossed my mind. I’ve done a lot of first things this year. You have to do everything first at some point in your life. I just was excited to come here. I see it as the fifth Grand Slam.
I wish I could have had better results so far, but it’s a great experience. It’s learning. Hopefully I can be back many more times.”
