That was an unlucky stuff for David Ferrer in Acapulco.
The seed no.1 was leading 6-4 2-2 against Kevin Anderson and suddenly he had a strain to his left thigh.
The Spaniard got some treatment in the locker room; then he went back to the court, but after a couple of points he had to withdraw
David commented “I’m very sad because I was playing great.I still do not know the extent of the injury. I’ll have to wait and see before taking a determination. The day was going so well for me and then this happened.”
An MRI will uncover the entity of the injury.
