Ernests has just won the tournament in Marseille, he has just broken in the top 20… and now he wants to become the world no.1! That’s a bit ambitious, but it seems he really wants to go for it! After winning the title in France Gulbis went straight to Acapulco (not exactly next door) to dismiss world no. 47 Yen-Hsun Lu 6-1 6-1 in 60 minutes. Ernests will play David Goffin in the next round.

Grigor had alsoa good win to defeat world no. 71 Marinko Matosevic 7-5 6-1. The world no.22 will now play his dear friend Marcos Baghdatis in the second round.
