Djokovic reaches the 100th week as world no.1!

Novak Djokovic reaches another very important milestone: the 100th week at the top of the rankings.

This wasn’t the finest year for the Serb, but still he was able to join a (very exclusive) group of tennis legends such as King Roger (302 weeks), Pete Sampras (286), Ivan Lendl  the Terminator (270), Jimbo Connors (268), Big Mc Enroe (170), Bjorn Borg (109), Rafa, The King of Clay  (102), Andre Agassi (101).

Interesting enough Nole is expected to end his run as the world no.1 in 2 weeks’ time when he will be 1 week shy from Rafa the will usurp his throne.

Nole: I was taught to dream big

Djokovic is obviously proud about his achievement to comment “I was taught to dream big and to dream to be No. 1 in the world.

It takes years of hard work and dedication. It is a long process to become a champion. Tennis is a very specific and unique sport, where you take all the credit or all the blame.”

Well done!
