Marion wants to improve last year’s result when she reached the final at the Paris Open to then lose to Angelique Kerber 76(3) 57 63 . This time Marion wants the title.
The 2013 didn’t really start well for Marion as she lost in Shenzen in the quarters and she crashed out from the Australian Open in the 3rd round at hands of Ekaterina Makarova.
About her chances in Paris
Seeded no.3 in Paris Marion commented “I don’t know if it’s a good year or not, it’s a loaded draw. There are still two other top 10 in the field and lots of dangerous players. There is a long way to go before thinking about winning,”
“I want to base my season around the Grand Slam tournaments with the hope of getting closer to the top five in the world. But above all I would really like to win the title here because I want to play well in France.” she added.
