Currently ranked no.6 (career-high), the Brit played his last match on the 22nd of March when he capitulated to world no.23 Jakub Mensik 7-6(2) 7-6(3) in the 2nd round in Miami (draw).
Until now, during this year the Brit has achieved an overall 13-3 match record. The Brit clinched 1 title in Indian Wells. Draper was the finalist in Doha.
