Paula Badosa defeated Daria Kasatkina in the third round of the 2024 Wimbledon Championships. The match took place on July 5, 2024, with Badosa winning 7-6(6), 4-6, 6-4. This victory marked Badosa’s first Grand Slam second week in two years. Paula was in tears after the match saying that recently she even didn’t know if she could still play professional tennis.
