Federer on being the King of Social Media

Roger
Federer
is arguably the most popular tennis player in tennis history. The
world no.2 is also quite active on Social Media to have amassed +14 million
likes on Facebook and +2.7 million followers on Twitter.

During a recent interview Roger says that
he is happy to give some insights to his followers having also some fan.

“I feel like I try to give them a
different insight,” Roger commented “It’s a different way to
communicate with them. I just try to have fun with it. I’ve always liked them
to take pictures. I probably enjoy that the most, besides interacting with
fans, giving them a different angle.

I’m still fairly new at it, but so far it’s
been a good experience and the vibe on the web has been nice–very positive,
very encouraging. I thought it was a much tougher world out there, so I guess
you have to use social media, Twitter, Instagram or Facebook the way you feel
it makes sense and makes you happy.”

Roger is now in Indian Wells where he will
face
Berdych
in the quarters.
