Emma Raducanu keeps struggling with her injuries, and she had to undergo three surgeries recently in order to recover. Unfortunately, the 2021 U.S. Open champion had to skip the entire grass season, and therefore she could not compete in Wimbledon. However, according to reports, Emma will be the highest-paid tennis player during The Championships.
According to the Mail Online, Emma pockets £134,000 each week during Wimbledon, and therefore, considering the week of the qualifications, she will get a total of £402,000. British No. 1 Katie Boulter had to fight hard on court to get closer to Emma. If she wins her following match against Wimbledon defending champion Elena Rybakina, she will pocket £207.000. Katie needs to reach the semifinals to win £600,000 to “overtake” Emma.
