Tommy Haas is having a rather bad 2014 as he hasn’t managed to win a single match. In Auckland he lost to Jack Sock in the opener and in Melbourne he had to retire against Garcia Lopez for a shoulder injury.
Now the German Tommy is seeded no.1 in Zagreb to test if his fitness is back.
The other seeds are Youzhny, Kohlschreiber, Dodig, Cilic, Rosol, Stepanek and Sijsling.
World no. 37 Marin Cilic will have an extra motivation in this tournament. He is the defending champion (see article) and he really wants to put back the horrible experience he endured last year when he was suspended for doping (another controversy).
