Azarenka can’t beat Serena… that’s it!

Head To Head

Now the head to head is 11-1 for Serena. This year Serena has already beaten Vika in the US Open and Madrid finals and in the semis in London (both Wimbledon and the Olympics).

The Match

Yesterday’s match wasn’t any different. Serena took advantage of her brutal serve to blast 11 aces vs. 5 double faults. Azarenka couldn’t do any better (no aces vs 9 double faults on 10 games).

Serena was very good at playing crucial points saving 6 break points out of 9, while Azarenka saved only 1 break point out of 6.

From Serena

“Maybe I’m doing the right things at the right time.” Williams said. “I don’t know what the edge is.”

From Azarenka

“I had too many opportunities that I didn’t use,” Azarenka said.”She played really well. I didn’t execute well enough. For me, the key word today was discipline, which was missing.”

Other results
