Roger Federer and Stefanos Tsitsipas are going to clash in Perth at the Hopman Cup. The Swiss and the Greek know each other pretty well as they frequently train together, but this will be the first time that they face each other in an (almost) official match.
The tie (Switzerland vs. Greece) will be played on Thursday at 5.30 pm.
Federer
Roger started his 2019 in ominous form. The Swiss Legend disintegrated his opponents in the Hopman Cup ties after he defeated Cameron Norrie 6-1 6-1 and Frances Tiafoe 6-4 6-1.
Roger commented, “I have never played Stefanos in the past, he has had a wonderful year and I am intrigued to find out what he has got, so we will see what’s gonna be like.”

Tsitsipas
Ranked no.15, Stefanos has always stated that one of the highlights of this Hopman Cup for him is to face Roger Federer that is his childhood idol and the guy that inspired him alongside Pete Sampras to play a single-handed backhand.
Stefanos lost his first match against Cameron Norrie 7-6 (8) 6-4, but he won the following one against Frances Tiafoe 6-3 6-7 (3) 6-3.
H2H Roger Federer vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas
Roger and Stefanos have never played each other in official matches. The favorite is obviously the Swiss that will try to use all his experience and current form to beat the Greek.
This is going to be an interesting one.
