Rafael Nadal extended warm congratulations to Jannik Sinner following his remarkable triumph at the 2025 Australian Open. Nadal, a two-time Melbourne champion, took to Instagram to share his admiration, writing: “Congratulazioni Jan @janniksin Impressionante!” (Congratulations Jan, impressive!).

Sinner’s victory was a historic feat, as he became only the second man in the Open Era, after Nadal himself, to defend his first Grand Slam successfully. Nadal achieved this milestone at the 2006 French Open.

Additionally, Sinner joined Nadal and Roger Federer as the only male players this century to secure a Slam without facing a single break point, solidifying his place among tennis legends.
