Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert make history to be the first French team to win the US Open title in doubles.
The title came after a good and solid final against Jamie Murray and John Peers that the Frenchamen won 6-4 6-4 in just 69 minutes.

The Scot was quite disappointed after losing a back to back final (d. in Wimbledon by Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau) to comment “I’m starting to know what Andy felt like for a long time. We’re going to keep trying to get over the line and get a Grand Slam title.”
