The Paris Major has delivered the first officially qualified players in the FIP Race, with three months to go until the Premier Padel Finals. Thirteen competitors are guaranteed places at the 10-13 December season finale at Barcelona’s Palau Sant Jordi. The 32-player field will feature 16 men and 16 women, and six men plus seven women have already mathematically secured the chance to compete for the year-end titles.

Race continues for leading positions and open places
A 2,000-point title run in Paris strengthened Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia’s grip on first place in the men’s standings. Their total has reached 12,620, putting them 1,270 ahead of Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, who occupy second with 11,350. After playing together since the start of the campaign, Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger share fifth place on 5,655 points. Seventh-placed Mike Yanguas has 4,005, while his former partner Franco Stupaczuk follows on 3,735. Yanguas is now reunited with Coki Nieto, whereas Stupaczuk has teamed up with Jon Sanz.
Martina Calvo is the first player below the seven women already mathematically assured of qualification. Alongside Claudia Fernandez, she reached the Paris final before losing to Ari Sanchez and Andrea Ustero. The French title earned Sanchez and Ustero 2,000 points and reduced their deficit to Bea Gonzalez and Paula Josemaria to 400, with the totals standing at 8,480 and 8,080. Marta Ortega, meanwhile, climbed from 12th to 10th after making the semi-finals, moving past Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen when Icardo’s injury forced that partnership to miss the French Major.
Points still available on the Premier Padel and FIP circuits
Champion pairings can still collect a combined 7,200 points from the six Premier Padel tournaments left on the schedule. The Kuwait and Acapulco Majors are worth 2,000 points apiece, while the P1 events in Milan and Dubai each offer 1,000. A further 600 points will be available at both P2 stops, held in Rotterdam and Düsseldorf.
More ranking points can also be earned on the CUPRA FIP Tour. The two remaining FIP Platinum events award 300 points to their champions: Lyon and November’s tournament in Aguascalientes. In Lyon, Stupaczuk and Sanz join a field that includes Guerrero/Leal, Di Nenno/Tello and Gonzalez/Campagnolo, while Alejandra Salazar and Aranzazu Osoro lead the women’s draw. Five FIP Gold tournaments, each worth 150 points, will also influence the allocation of the final Barcelona berths, with events scheduled in São Paulo, Perugia, Turin, Seville and Melilla.
