Bianca Andreescu is probably the player that has impressed the most on the WTA tour in 2019. Coming from nowhere, the 18-year-old entertained the tennis fans with her fantastic tennis and sparkling personality to win Indian Wells after an incredible run.
The young Canadian played a lot of tennis (33 matches) in the first 3 months, and that left a toll on her body. Plagued with injuries, Bianca had to withdraw from Miami when facing Anett Kontaveit in the 4th round and she is now battling with a shoulder injury.
About Bianca Andreescu’s shoulder injury
Sylvain Bruneau, Bianca’s coach, talking to Radio Canada commented
“At the moment she’s been doing a lot of physical training. I hope she can resume training soon. Obviously, Madrid and Rome are approaching. And she can be very successful during the clay season.”
