Stefanos Tsitsipas lost in the opener in Rotterdam at the hands of Damir Dzumhur 6-4 1-6 7-5.

Stefanos didn’t play at his best to be broken 5 times, and he was rather below-par especially in the last game of the match when he surrendered his serve at love.

I lost to myself. TSITSIPAS

After the match, Stefanos explained why he lost to comment

“I lost to myself, not to him. He fools you, waits for you to make mistakes. He stands eight meters behind the baseline and plays with your strengths. He played nothing crazy or special, but you don’t get any rhythm with him.

The momentum was on my side but he kept putting the ball into the court and running.”

Tsitsipas has lot 3 of his last match (starting from the semifinal in Melbourne against Nadal). He will try to regain the momentum next week in Marseille.
