Federer Alcaraz

Roger Federer has always expressed his admiration for rising star Carlos Alcaraz. The 19- year-old from Spain has recently said that the he wished he could play against Federer before his retirement. Unfortunately, that will not happen since Roger had just called it a career.

During a recent press conference, Roger said that he also wished that he could play Alcaraz. He recalled when they practiced together in Wimbledon when Alcaraz was still playing juniors. On that occasion, Roger was also impressed by Carlito’s coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, who did not miss a single ball during the practice. Jean Carlos was also a former world number 1 player.

Roger commented:

“I’m sad for not having a chance to play Alcaraz. Loved the US Open. Practiced with him once at Wimbledon when he was playing juniors and he did well. Then I was even more excited to practice with Ferrero, who didn’t miss a ball”
