Nick Kyrgios and Casper Ruud will face off in a finger-licking Indian Wells third round. Besides the stark contrast in style, the two players do not share a great relationship. Everything started 3 years ago in Rome when Ruud won a match against the Australian player after Nick defaulted. After Kyrgios abandoned the match, Casper started screaming in elation, which was probably inappropriate.
“Not my fault Kyrgios is an idiot”
During an interview, Casper commented that he was happy for winning 50K Euro in prize money and 90 ATP points. Then he added that it is not his fault if Kyrgios “is an idiot.”
Nick didn’t like the content of the interview to say: “I would appreciate you say it to my face, I’m sure you wouldn’t run your mouth so much after that. Until then I will continue to rather watch paint dry than watch you play tennis, boring af.”
Hey @CasperRuud98 next time you have something to say, I would appreciate you say it to my face, I’m sure you wouldn’t run your mouth so much after that. Until then I will continue to rather watch paint dry then watch you play tennis, boring af.

“You steal points”
Later Kyrgios accused Ruud of “stealing points” by winning “easy” tournaments on clay after the Norvegian won back to back the ATP250 in Geneva, Bastad, Gstaad, and Kitzbuhel.
