Novak expressed his desire to have tennis fans attending the events and according to reports they sold 1,000 tickets in just 7 minutes. However, the Serbian ace is planning to go for more aiming at hosting 4,500 fans.

Novak’s coach, Goran Ivanisevic, is helping to organize the event to comment as follows.

“We are waiting for the final confirmation of the number of fans that will be allowed to us. It will be a stadium for 9,000 people that will be installed this week. I hope that it [the authorities] will allow us half of that capacity for the audience to see the best players in the world,” said Goran.

The competition will be played in 4 locations, and the second one is Zadar, Croatia.

“The tournament will be played on clay. We were ready for hard court, but Djokovic’s team still decided for clay. This is a great opportunity to show Zadar and Croatia in a beautiful light, as a corona-free country and invite tourists. Zadar proved to be not only a basketball city but also a tennis city with those Davis Cup matches that it organized incredibly,” said Ivanisevic.

Djokovic and the tennis restart

Novak Djokovic’s great run 2020 has been halted by the Coronavirus pandemic. The Serbian has many doubts about the resuming of tennis.
