Nick Kyrgios has never been a huge fan of clay courts. The Australian sensation had a rather weird rant last year before the French Open on social media to then withdraw from the competitions citing “illness.”
Nick is currently in Acapulco where he will try to defend his controversial title earned after a memorable week in 2019. However, he couldn’t refrain from criticizing on social media the inaugural ATP250 in Santiago posting: “WTF – another 250 on clay whilst 2 500 on hard courts. #exterminatethedirtrats”
We understand the point, but that’s probably not nice for the people that are putting a lot of effort to organize the event.

Currently the world no.21, Nick played his last match on the 27th of January when he was defeated by Rafael Nadal 6-3 3-6 7-66 7-64 in the 4th round of the Australian Open.
Nick Kyrgios’s best achievement of this season was reaching the semi-finals in the ATP Cup.
