Nick Kyrgios will not play the French Open

The Australian withdraws from the French Open after he said that the tournament sucks

Nick Kyrgios takes probably the best possible decision to withdraw from the Roland Garros after he stated that the tournament “sucks.”

The Australian hit the headlines for a quirky rant on Instagram after he stated that the French Open sucks. That raised many eyebrows and it was clear that Kyrgios would not have enjoyed a fantastic welcome at the French Open and another epic meltdown was almost inevitable like the one he recently had in Rome.

Why Kyrgios (probably) decided not to play in Paris

The official motivation (excuse?) was that Kyrgios withdrew because of an illness, but no one really believes that after what he said and it seems that the real reason was to avoid that tournament and the possible hostility by the local crowd.

Kyrgios spent last weekend training on grass with his friend Andy Murray and that seems to be his imminent destination.
