Federer, Zverev to play an exhibition in Bogota’ in March

Roger Federer and Sascha Zverev had a fantastic experience last month when they toured together in Latin America with one notable exception: Colombia!

The Swiss and the German had to play an exhibition match in Bogota’ when the city was plagued with civil unrest. Unfortunately, they had to call off the exhibition and Roger admitted he had a breakdown soon after. A video was circulating online with Sascha consoling the Maestro.

However, Roger said that he would come back and he kept the promise as he and Sascha will play their exhibition on the 24th of March. The date was set keeping in mind that both tennis players will be in Miami at that time on the occasion of the Miami Open. That means that they will be slightly more 3 hours and a half away from Bogota’ with a private flight.

Federer’s agent, Tony Godsick, commented: “There was never any doubt that Roger would return, it was just a matter of when it would be. It was a carefully considered decision. They love their fans and the beautiful city of Bogota.”

Roger and Sascha are currently in China where they will play another exhibition match in Hangzhou.
