Bianca Andreescu star continues to burn bright following a sensational season. The 19-year-old has won three titles on the WTA tour. Her biggest victory was at the US Open last month where she defeated Serena Williams to lift her first Grand Slam title. The Canadian is now reaping the rewards of her success off the court. She is now highly sought after by corporate brands and businesses for advertising and endorsement deals.
Collaboration with vegan fashion brand
Andreescu has expressed her love for vegan and cruelty-free products. She has been working with vegan fashion brand P8NT to develop a line of vegan beauty products. The brand focuses on producing its products from vegan ingredients. This month, Andreescu and the company have launched a campaign for its line of vegan products. She said that P8NT’s focus on vegan products was a big part of why she chose to collaborate with the company. Andreescu revealed that she tries to use vegan and cruelty-free products as much as possible. She said supporting brands like P8NT would ensure consumers get quality and healthy products.
Determination and will to succeed
Darren Goldberg, who started the company in 2018, said they had approached Andreescu earlier in the year. Goldberg is also Canadian and played tennis. He won two Canadian Junior championships in his tennis career. The businessman said they had chosen Andreescu because of her charm, determination and will to succeed. He congratulated the 19-year-old for achieving success in a short period and representing her country in the tennis world. The US Open champion has also worked with Cooper Branch, a restaurant chain that serves 100% plant-based menus. It is not clear if Andreescu is vegetarian but she has been active in supporting the cause.
Djokovic following a plant-based diet, but not “officially” vegan
Many athletes have advocated for a plant-based diet. Novak Djokovic has in the past revealed that he tries as much as possible to stick to a vegan diet. He revealed on his Instagram that he had relied on the diet when playing at Wimbledon last year. The 32-year-old has said that he feels more alert on the court when eating healthy. He has also credited the practice of removing toxins from his body and keeping his energy levels consistent. The world number one is not a full-time vegetarian and occasionally enjoys fish. He, however, has a passion for healthy food. In 2016 he opened a restaurant in Monte Carlo. The restaurant serves plant-based food influenced by Mediterranean cuisine.
