Djokovic following a plant-based diet, but not “officially” vegan

He revealed on his Instagram that he had relied on the diet when playing at Wimbledon last year. The 32-year-old has said that he feels more alert on the court when eating healthy. He has also credited the practice of removing toxins from his body and keeping his energy levels consistent. The world number one is not a full-time vegetarian and occasionally enjoys fish. He, however, has a passion for healthy food. In 2016 he opened a restaurant in Monte Carlo. The restaurant serves plant-based food influenced by Mediterranean cuisine.
