Lopez also posted a lovely message to his new wife in which he stated that he was looking forward to starting their new life together. “The road is more or less long depending on who accompanies you. I have read many definitions about what happiness means, but none of them comes close to what we lived yesterday with all of you.” Fellow tennis players Milos Raonic and Jaume Munar commented to congratulate the Spaniard and wished him all the best.

This is the Spaniard’s second marriage. He was previously married to Alba Carrillo but they split up. The 38-year-old continues to play and has said he doesn’t plan of retiring. He continues to feature in the top 100 on the ATP rankings. He has previously stated that while retirement has crossed his mind, he will continue to play as long as his body holds up. “I never expected to be playing this long. I know that it’s not normal. Being in the gym is okay for me, but the training it takes to be competitive, spending hours on the court hitting balls. It’s tough for me now.” Lopez is scheduled to play at the European Open in Antwerp in October.
