Lacoste moves into padel with two Tecnifibre co-developed rackets and full gear range

Lacoste

Key Takeaways

  • Lacoste has entered the padel market with its debut collection, led by two rackets developed through a technical collaboration with Tecnifibre.
  • Two rackets headline the lineup: the high-performance L.MAX at €350 and the more accessible, forgiving L.SOFT at €250.
  • AGLT Ultra shoes, an L-Paletero bag and apparel round out the collection, which arrives online and in European stores on September 24.

Tecnifibre technology powers Lacoste’s arrival on the 20×10 court

The French crocodile has officially entered padel, 90 years after Rene Lacoste transformed tennis clothing. Lacoste has gone beyond a lifestyle-focused launch by creating a full sporting range of competition-ready products for use before, during and after matches.

Two racket models aimed at different types of players have emerged from Lacoste’s partnership with Tecnifibre. The experienced high-performance racket-sports manufacturer provides the technical expertise underpinning the new collection and strengthens its on-court credentials.

L.MAX and L.SOFT lead the high-performance equipment lineup

Priced at €350, the flagship L.MAX is built for regular players who want elite performance while maintaining control. Its X-Speed technology uses specially designed hole perforations to improve aerodynamics and increase swing speed, while the X-Top bumper adds impact resistance and the textured Spin Skin 3D surface promotes maximum spin. Along with the L.SOFT, it sits at the heart of the collection.

The €250 L.SOFT targets newcomers and improving players who want greater forgiveness than conventional entry-level rackets. It offers nimble handling and a larger sweet spot, retaining X-Top and Spin Skin 3D despite not featuring X-Speed.

Footwear, apparel and bags round out the technical collection

A coordinated selection of products extends the collection beyond rackets. The AGLT Ultra technical shoes and L-Paletero racket bag each cost €150, while crocodile-branded shirts, shorts and socks complete the head-to-toe range.

From September 24, the entire collection will be sold on lacoste.com and at Lacoste stores throughout Europe.
