Petra Kvitova and Sara Errani will fight for the 2013 title in Dubai.
This has been a strange tournament as Victoria Azarenka and Serena Williams were the overwhelming favorite… at least till he moment they annouced their retirement. Then Agnieszka Radwanska was expected to win the title to lose in straight sets to Kvitova… so we have the seed no5 and the seed no6 playing this final.
Kvitova
Petra won a comfortable match against Wozniacki that was playing a very good tournament. It took 82 minutes to win 6-3 6-4 with her trademark (alias super aggressive) tennis.
Errani
Sara had a solid performance against her best friend Roberta Vinci to win 6-3 6-3 in just 83 minutes. This was a sort of very nice old-style rallies… something we really miss in modern tennis.
The Final
Head to head is 3-0 for Kvitova that has never lost a single set against Sara Errani. Petra is definately the favorite to win the title… unless she melts down.
