The organization of the Shanghai ATP1000 announces two interesting wildcards: Denis Shapovalov and Yibing Wu.
The Canadian has already hit the headlines many times after his great summer when he reached the semi-finals in Montreal and the 4th round at the US Open coming straight from the qualifications. Denis got a wildcard to play the qualification in Tokyo, but he couldn;t compete apparently because of a problem with his knee.
Yibing Wu is less well known (for the time being), but his name may become familiar to the tennis fans in the next few years. At 17 years of age, Yibing has recently won the US Open (juniors) just before conquering the Challenger 75 in Shanghai. The Chinese is definitely one of the most interesting prospects of his country.
