Catherine Whittaker revealed, “We have been contacted by a listener who tells us that they have seen Emma Raducanu training with Andrew Richardson, the coach with whom she won the US Open in 2021.” David Law added that the information matched Richardson’s current base, though it remains unconfirmed whether this is a long-term arrangement.
Coaching merry-go-round
Raducanu has faced criticism for her frequent coaching changes. Francisco Roig departed in January after six months, and she later worked with LTA coach Alexis Canter, reaching the Transylvania Open final. Earlier this year, she also reunited briefly with Mark Petchey, though he declined a full-time role. Rehiring Richardson could be seen as either a strategic move or another short-term fix.
