Grigor Dimitrov is having a fantastic week at the current US Open after a really difficult 2019. The former world no.3 lost 7 of the previous 8 matches ahead of the Flushing Meadows. In addition, Grigor’s ranking went dramatically down and the Bulgarian sensation started the US Open being the world no.78.

Finally, things started to go differently for Grigor in New York where out of the blue he reached the semifinal after defeating the great Roger Federer in 5 sets in the quarters. Grigor went up 53 places in the live rankings to be no.25.

If Grigor beats Medvedev and he reaches the final is projected to be no.16 and if he wins the all thing he will be ranked no.10 or close to it (it depends on the results of Monfils and Schwartzman).
