Djokovic to probably miss the rest of the season

Bad news from Novak Djokovic’s camp. Apparently, Nole needs to rest for up to 3 months and that means that the Serb will likely skip the rest of the season in order to recover from his elbow injury.

From his doctor

The news has been broken by Djokovic’s doctor Zdenko Milinkovic that commented

“He [Novak] will have to rest for 6 to 12 weeks, and then we are going to see”

In the next examination, we’re going to know whether this assessment stays or it will be changed. During that time, he will not have a training session with the racquet, but he will be able to do other segments of practice connected with the condition and similar things. Of course, he will have to undergo certain therapies.”

Nole had to retire in Wimbledon recently when he was playing against Tomas Berdych. Apparently, Nole has spent some time in Toronto where he was supposed to place the Rogers Cup, but he will be back to Belgrade where on Wednesday she should make an announcement.

A prolonged period of rest was extremely beneficial to Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal that decided to rest for the entire second part of last season to come back very strongly in 2017.
