The injury and confrontation at the US Open

The world no.1 is having a tough moment at the Flushing Meadows as he is clearly struggling with a problem to his left should that is affecting his serve and backhand. Djokovic had even some doubts about the opportunity to nd his 2nd round match against Londero. Eventually, Djokovic defeated the Argentine in straight sets, and he also dismissed Denis Kudla in straight sets in the 3rd round.

However, it’s clear that Nole needs to deal with nerves and during a midnight training at the US Open, he stopped his training to confront a fan that was probably not very “nice” with him. It was filmed that Nole was rather menacing with this guy to say: “Trust me, I’ll come find you.”

During the press conference following his victorious 3rd round match, Nole was asked about what happened during the exchange, and he played everything down saying: “[We had just] Just had a little chat (smiling).”

Later Novak refused to elaborate on what has happened to say:

“I’m not going to talk about it. I think he did me a favor. Even maybe he didn’t want to do me a favour, he did me a favour, big favour.”
