Jelena Ostapenko wins another fierce battle in Wimbledon.

After beating Aliaksandra Sasnovich at the decider in the first round, the Latvian had to do the same in the 2^nd round against a surprising Francois Abanda.

The 20-year-old from Canada is only ranked 142, and she had a rather nasty experience at the Roland Garros when she lost 6-0 6-0 to Caroline Wozniacki in the 2^nd round. This didn’t prevent Abanda from fighting hard and lose the match only at the end with an honorable 4-6 7-6 (4) 6-3 scoreline.

After this match, Ostapenko has a nine matches winning streak in slams, and she has reached the 3^rd round at the Championships for the first time.
