Kokkinakis is back!
The Australian has been struggling for a couple of years with various injuries, but it seems that he has finally recovered. On Tuesday, Kokkinakis recorded the biggest win of his young career after he defeated Milos Raonic (seeded no.3) at the Queen’s Club.
Thanasi won the match against the Canadian after he saved nine break points of 9 while Milos hasn’t conceded any. Eventually, everything was resolved at the breakers with the Australian winning 7-6 (5) 7-6 (8). Raonic wasn’t able to convert three consecutive set points in the second tiebreak after he was leading 6-3.

A big confidence boost. KOKKINAKIS
In the post-match interview, Thanasi commented
“It’s huge. Best win of my career. And to do it so soon after coming back from such a long layoff is a huge confidence booster for me. But every match is so different. Practice courts are so different to playing matches.
I have been practicing pretty good, and then came out on the court and I’m nervous as anything. My first few forehands hit the back fence. I’m like, ‘Jeez, this is bad again.’ Luckily my serve helped me in it, and I won the big points when it mattered, so it’s huge.”
Kokkinakis got his first top-10 win today. Here he reflects on beating Raonic.

Thanasi will play Daniil Medvedev that has defeated the Australian 6 days ago o grass in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. This will be a great chance for Kokkinakis to avenge that loss.
