Lucas Pouille wins his 3^rd career title, the 2^nd of the year, in Stuttgart.

This is the first time that the Frenchman wins a title on grass and it came after he earned a spectacular 1st round against Struff when he saved five match points.

The final against Feliciano Lopez wasn’t that easy either with Lucas recovering from a 1-set down deficit. Eventually, after bringing the contest to the 3^rd set, Pouille won a crucial break in the 5^th game of the decider.

Pouille won the match 4-6 7-6 (5) 6-4. Lucas had to fire 29 aces to win this match!

This gives confidence on grass. LUCAS

After the match, the Frenchman commented

“Of course if you win the first tournament of the grass season you’re very confident, but I know that every week is different and every player is tough to beat. I will need to focus again for next week and be ready to play my first round in Halle.”

In Halle, Pouille will face Struff in the opener. Jan-Lennard will try to avenge his 1^st round loss in Stuttgart.
