Kiki Mladenovic had an excellent performance in the Roland Garros 2nd round after she brushed aside Sara Errani. There were doubts about Kiki’s fitness after she won a three hour’s epic 1st round against Jennifer Brady (3-6 6-3 9-7) battling also against a tough back injury. Eventually, Kiki recovered to brush aside Sara 6-2 6-3.

During the post-match interview, the Frenchwoman conceded that she can and she must play better, but she was still happy with the win. Kiki commented
“I think I played a great match. Not yet how I would like it to be, especially on my backhand and some movements I thought I could be faster. I was not serving my first usual serve and second serve could be better.
But I think I’m satisfied it was enough for today.”
Next vs. Rogers
Kiki will play the world no. 49 Shelby Rogers in the 3rd round. The head to head is 1-0 for the American, but Kiki is the clear favorite to win this one.
