Nick Kyrgios is not expecting to have a memorable run at the current French Open also because he is struggling from a physical point of view. The Australian had also to deal with a tough 1st round against Philipp Kohlschreiber, but eventually, Kyrgios went through it in style after winning 6-3 7-6 (4) 6-3.

I served well. KYRGIOS
After the match against the German, Nick explained how he managed to win this encounter.
“There was a lot of question marks on how I would perform today,” commented Kyrgios. “I haven’t had that many matches on the clay. Obviously, I’ve been struggling physically, and I do not feel that confident. I saw the draw, and I thought it was going to be very tough. Kohlschreiber has been around for a long time now, and he knows what to do to win matches. I think he’s pretty comfortable on the clay.
I served really well today at important times in the match, and I thought I just played the right style of game to win today with what I had. Hopefully, I can keep going.”
Next vs. Anderson
Nick will face Kevin Anderson in the second round. The head to head is 1-0 for the South African.
STILL COMPETITIVE?
