Fantastic news for the Swiss fans in Basel as they will have the opportunity to attend an ATP500 full of big names.
The organization has just disclosed that Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Nick Kyrgios, and Stan Wawrinka are all confirmed to play the event that will take place the 23 – 29th of October. The organisation is trying also to bring in Kei Nishikori and some #nextgen players such as next generation players like Alexander Zverev, Borna Coric, Taylor Fritz, Andrey Rublev, Karen Khachanov, Daniil Medvedev, and Denis Shapovalov.
In 2015 we had a fantastic final with Federer beating Nadal in 3 sets. Not many expected to witness some more clashes at that levels between the two rivals, but after the recent Australian Open and Miami, we could have another one in Switzerland.
Federer will try to win his 8th title in Basel. Let’s see how it goes… Kyrgios and Wawrinka are also looming.
