Nadal will probably miss a Master ATP1000 because of his wedding with Xisca Perello

Rafael Nadal may skip an important event because of his wedding.

Rafael Nadal

After so many reports and speculations, it seems inevitable that Rafal Nadal and Maria Xisca Perello will get married this year. This is what has been reported by El Mundo, and the date is the 19th of October and, of course, it will take place in Mallorca.

Will Nadal miss the ATP1000 in Paris?

The date seems to have been chosen to take into consideration the Asian swing that will end the 13th of October with the Rolex Masters in Shanghai. However, the ATP1000 in Paris will take place on the 28th of October and therefore if Rafa and Xisca have their honeymoon, it is not plausible that the Spanish sensation will play in Bercy.

How this will impact the rankings.

Rafa has already qualified for the ATP Finals that will take place in London on the 10th of November. The Spaniard will have enough time to recover after his plausible honeymoon. However, not playing in Bercy may cost dearly to the Spanish sensation in the rankings.

In fact, Rafa is currently the no.1 in the years to date rankings, and if he keeps on going deep in the tournaments he will have a clear shot at ending the year as the world no.1.
