MASTERCLASS. Kyrgios beats Djokovic in Acapulco

Nick Kyrgios wins another top scalp in Acapulco: Novak Djokovic!

The Australian plays an unbelievable match against the world no.2 after firing 25 aces. Nick always looked in control of the contest while Nole wasn’t at his best. The Serbian looked a bit clumsy at times especially on his footwork, and he wasn’t perfect with the shot selection. On the other side, Kyrgios was a man on a mission, and he didn’t miss the chance to get another big win. The final result was 7-6 (9) 7-5.

I was a bit nervous. KYRGIOS

Nick has defeated Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer in his first match against each of them. The Australian commented

“It’s a big win. I was a little bit nervous because I’m sure the crowd was rooting for Novak. He’s one of the greatest players of all time, but I’m playing with confidence. My serve is the best part of my game, and I had one of my best serving matches tonight.”

The semi-final against Querrey

Kyrgios will face Querrey in the semi-final. The head to head is 1-0 for the Australian that has beaten Sam in the 1st round of Shanghai 2016 6-4 6-4.
