Gael Monfils and Elina Sivtolina are back training together

Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina are finally reunited in Cincinnati.

The two love birds played the Rogers Cup last week in Canada, but the competition is held in 2 different cities. While the women’s event was held in Toronto, the ATP players competed in Montreal. Therefore, Gael and Elina could follow each other only on TV. Eventually, last week Monfils reached the semifinal before conceding the walk-over to Nadal while Elina lost in the quarters to Sofia Kenin.

Monfils, Svitolina in Cincinnati

Things are different in Cincinnati as both ATP and WTA events are held in the same venue, and therefore Gael and Elina have the chance to stay and practice together again.

In their opening matches, Monfils will face Frances Tiafoe while Elina will play Elise Mertens.
