Federer, Dimitrov still lead the Year to date rankings

Roger and Grigor are still the no.1 and no.2 of 2017

Roger Federer and Grigor Dimitrov are still leading the Year to Date Rankings.

How Roger will lead for the next 3 weeks (at least)

Roger will retain the lead at least till the 20th of March (after the end of Indian Wells) because he has a sizeable lead over Dimitrov (690pts) and Nadal (755pts) and the top tournaments in between are only ATP500s (Dubai and Acapulco). So, there is no chances for the rest of the pack to overtake Roger in the meantime.

Dimitrov

Grigor is still no.2 with 1310 points, but Nadal is projected to overtake him next week after Acapulco. In fact, Grigor won’t play this week, while Rafa will compete in Mexico. Therefore, since the Spaniard is just 65 points shy from Grigor, he just needs to reach the quarters (90pts) in Acapulco to overtake him.

Tsonga

Jo-Wilfried has triumphed in Marseille to get 250pts and make it even with Rafa (both at 1250pts). The Frenchman will not compete this week.

Thiem

Even if Dominic seems to have scheduled too many competitions in 2017 (he played in 6 events already), the Austrian has still managed to win Rio and be ranked no.6 in the YTD. He will try to go for more in Acapulco.

Here the top20.
