Federer, Dimitrov world no.1 and 2 in YTD rankings

Roger Federer and Grigor Dimitrov are ruling in 2017 even if they had a completely different path.

Federer

Roger has played “only” 7 matches (at the Australian Open), and its 18th slam is still giving him the leadership in the year to date rankings. This is a perfect position for the Swiss that also had the opportunity to properly rest his body. Roger is still no.1 in the YTD rankings.

Dimitrov

Grigor has competed in 4 tournaments (vs. Roger’s 1), and he has played 18 matches (vs. Federer’s 7). The Bulgarian has won 2 titles (Brisbane and Sofia), and he has reached the quarters in both Melbourne and, last week, in Rotterdam. The points gained in the Netherlands gave him the opportunity to overtake Nadal in the Year To Date Rankings to be the new world no.2.

After all this effort, Grigor has decided to take a break and rest his body. For this reason, he had to pull out from Marseille.
