Nishikori reaches the final in Buenos Aires

Kei Nishikori didn’t hide the fact that this year he will focus a lot on clay tournaments. The Japanese has decided to compete in Buenos Aires and then in Rio instead of defending his title in Memphis (hard courts) where he has won for four consecutive years.

Kei reached the final in Buenos Aires after battling against a sticky Carlos Berloq. After exchanging the first two sets, the key moment of the match was when Kei managed to recover a 1-break-down deficit in the decider (1-2) to win four consecutive games (5-2), and conquer the contest in 2 hours and 43 minutes. The final score was 4-6 6-4 6-3.
