Why Dimitrov thinks he can win the Australian Open

“It isn’t over yet,” this is what Grigor Dimitrov thinks about his Australian Open campaign, and he is right about that.

The Bulgarian is having a great year with a 9-0 win-loss record, and he looked extremely sharp in two crucial matches in Melbourne against Gasquet and Goffin (both dismissed in straight sets).

I have all the tools. DIMITROV

Soon after he has beaten Goffin in the quarters, Grigor commented

“I feel like I have all the tools to go further, and my job isn’t over yet. I’m looking forward to my match on Friday. I think I’m prepared. I think I’m ready to go the distance.

I don’t shy away from that. I’m confident enough to say that I feel good physically, and overall on the court. Just going forward with the confidence that I have built up also from the previous tournament. Now with each match, I’ve been feeling better and better. It just all comes pretty naturally right now.”

Next vs. Nadal

Grigor will play Rafael Nadal in the semifinal. The head to head is 7-1 for the Spaniard, but Grigor has won the last match in Shanghai.

Game on!
