Murray, Federer on collision course in Australian Open draw

We have a very tasty draw at the Australian Open. Federer has been drawn in Murray’s quarter while Wawrinka is also in the top half. Nadal is in Raonic’s quarter in the lower half of the draw (with Djokovic).

FEDERER

Roger has avoided an early clash with Nadal (they could have played each other in the 3^rd round), to face a qualifier in the first and the second round. That could be a very good warm up for Roger that later has a tough draw as follows

Andy has a fantastic draw with the exception of potentially playing Roger in the quarters. Here the projected path

NADAL

Rafa received a good draw after he fell in Raonic’s quarter. Nadal’s biggest early hurdle will be Sascha Zverev in the 3^rd round. Here the projected path

DJOKOVIC

Nole had a horrible 1^st round as he will play an ever dangerous Verdasco (the Serbian has a 9-4 win-loss record against Fernando, and he has recently beaten him in Doha after saving five match points). Then another big hurdle for the Serbian could be an in-form Dimitrov in the 4^th round. Here the projected path.
