Why I am not ready for knighthood. MURRAY

Andy Murray has been the athlete of the year for the UK in 2016. For many, the Scot deserves the knighthood after he has managed to win Wimbledon for the second time, and he has dethroned Novak Djokovic as the new world no.1.

Why I am not ready for knighthood. MURRAY

Even if Andy is happy with the idea, he is not 100% sure he is ready for it. The Brit commented

“Obviously, it is the highest honor you can get in this country. I don’t know; I feel too young for something like that. I don’t think about that stuff much, really.

When I win any award or am presented with anything it is nice because it is recognition for what you have given your life to, up to now anyway. I am still young, and there are still a lot of things that can go wrong, I could still mess up and make mistakes. I am just trying to keep doing what I am doing, working hard and achieving stuff.”

On another level, Andy is the (mega) hot favorite to win again the prestigious BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
