Serena Williams is a very busy person right now.
The American sensation is a mother, a trendsetter, a businesswoman, and she is also trying to break the record for the most slams won in history.
Serena has, therefore, a rather busy life and being a very strong character she is often a polarizing figure. On one side the American is hugely popular among her colleagues, on the other sometimes she is the target of some criticisms especially when she makes her strong statements especially in fashion.
Why Serena doesn’t care
The American legend is not new to put on fancy (or quirky) dresses to comment:
“People always have things to say when you’re wearing fashion. It could be good things. It could be bad things. I don’t care what people say. I’m like just so past it; you could say whatever you want to say. Honestly, you’re allowed to have your opinion. My life is far too complicated to worry about people that want to say mean things. I have a daughter, I have a family, I have a career. I have too much to worry about.”
Serena will now try to finally win her 24th slam at the upcoming US Open and that would mean equalling Margaret Court’s record. That will be Serena’s next target.
