The ATP500 in Basel loses at the first hurdle two valuable seeds: Grigor Dimitrov and Milos Raonic.
Dimitrov
Seeded no.6, Grigor lost against his friend Gilles Muller 6-7 (9) 6-4 6-4 in 2 hours and 22 minutes. The crucial moment was when the Bulgarian failed to conquer Muller’s serve in the 7th game of the third set (3-all) when he had three consecutive break points (0-40).
Raonic
Seeded no.2, Milos lost to world no.91 Ricardas Berankis 3-6 6-3 6-3. Interesting enough, this is not the first time that Berankis stuns Raonic as last time they played he beat him in Moscow 2014.
